Waiting on Wednesday [9/28/11]

Hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

So, recently I finished Clockwork Angel. It was fantastic. I love it. I need more Will! (Even though he pushes my buttons, rahhh, not cool, William, not cool.)

Naturally, this week I'm waiting for:

 My One-Liner Descriptions:
Clockwork Prince: 2 gallons of hot guy time + 3 cups of mysteries + 2 pints of romance + 4 pints of action + a touch of comedy + 2 cups of steampunk = one delicious sounding sequel
This Is Not A Test: Six teens, one room, and a swarm of zombies waiting to eat them outside (with a touch of some intense contemporary).

Although my measurements sounds a bit wrong for CP, I most definitely recommend reading Clockwork Angel if you haven't already. This Is Not A Test also sounds really good too... it has zombies, six teens who may be slowly waiting in that room for their inevitable fate, and it has zombies. Did I mention it has zombies? Hehehe ^///^
What are you guys waiting for?

Interview: Trinity Faegen [Author of THE MEPHISTO COVENANT]

In celebration of the upcoming release of The Mephisto Covenant, which I ADORED, I have an interview with the amazing author herself! The Mephisto Covenant comes out next Tuesday on 9/27/11.

1. Describe THE MEPHISTO COVENANT in a haiku.
Gee, that’s mean! I’m so not a poet, and haiku? Yeah. But here goes:

A son of Hell needs
A daughter of Eve to love
Will she love him back?

What's a girl to do when meeting The One means she's cursed to die a horrible death?

Life hasn't been easy on sixteen-year-old Emma Connor, so a new start in New York may be just the change she needs. But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? Not so much. Friendly faces are few and far between, except for one that she's irresistibly drawn to—Brendan Salinger, the guy with the rock-star good looks and the richest kid in school, who might just be her very own white knight.

But even when Brendan inexplicably turns cold, Emma can't stop staring. Ever since she laid eyes on him, strange things have been happening. Streetlamps go out wherever she walks, and Emma's been having the oddest dreams: visions of herself in past lives—visions that warn her to stay away from Brendan. Or else.

In My Mailbox [9/18/11]

Hosted by The Story Siren.

Oh goodness, so sorry about the hiatus thing... My posts frequency has diminished into almost nothing (x_x) I will be posting up a review of Spellbound later this week however, so stay tuned in for that. This week, I got...

Fire by Kristin Cashore -- "A romantic companion to Graceling" or so it says on the jacket... Hehe either way I'm excited to read it!
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare -- Prequel to The Mortal Instrument series.
Destined by Jessie Harrell (Thanks Jessie!) -- Retelling of Cupid and Psyche myth (Lately, I've been adoring mythology!)
Daughter of Smoke and Bone (The first 12 chapters) by Laini Taylor (Thanks Netgalley!) -- It just sounds plain awesome.
Crave by Melissa Harnell (Thanks, Netgalley!) -- "Bloodlust. Magic. Forbidden secrets." Sounds enticing doesn't it? ^_^

When I woke up and checked my phone, Jessie sent me an eARC of Destined for review on my birthday! It was a great unintentional birthday gift! :) Speaking of my birthday, it already passed on September 16. It was really nice; I got to skip school partially and spend the day with my family! ^_^

Small Hiatus Thingamajig

Oh my crackers it's one of my favorite icons: RILAKKUMA!

So yeah, the title says it all (._.) I shall be going on a small hiatus thingamajig for a while since I'm back in school and busy with school work and such. I'm also working on a "project" which is taking up almost all of my time! EGADS.

I will be posting reviews from time to time, but probably not that often? Who knows? Anyways, toodle loo lovely readers...

HADES by Alexandra Adornetto Trailer and all that good stuff.

So, for all you Halo fans out there, Alexandra came out with a sequel called Hades! Here's a trailer for you guys to enjoy~

Don't know what Halo is? Here's a quick blurb from Goodreads:

Three angels – Gabriel, the warrior ; Ivy, the healer ; and Bethany, the youngest and most human – are sent by Heaven to bring good to a world falling under the influence of darkness. They must work hard to conceal their luminous glow, superhuman powers, and, most dangerous of all, their wings, all the while avoiding all human attachments.

Then Bethany meets Xavier Woods, and neither of them is able to resist the attraction between them. Gabriel and Ivy do everything in their power to intervene, but the bond between Xavier and Bethany seems too strong.

The angel’s mission is urgent, and dark forces are threatening. Will love ruin Bethany or save her?

Sounds good right? I want to read it, after seeing some good reviews from fellow book bloggers:

Already read Halo? Well here's the blurb on Hades:  (Note: Summary has been lightened due to spoilers. To read, highlight! You have been warned!)

Bethany and Xavier are even closer since battling Jake Thorn and his evil influence (in Halo) and Beth and her angel siblings must still protect Venus Cove from the Dark Forces.

When a party game – a séance – inadvertently releases Jake from the Underworld, he disguises himself and tricks Beth into taking a ride on his motorcycle. When the highway opens up and swallows them, Beth learns too late that she’s now a prisoner in hell. What happens to angels there? As her archangel brother, Gabriel, her sister Ivy, Xavier, and her best friend, Molly search for her, Beth must weigh Jake’s bargaining for her freedom: one night with him, and she will be released back to Earth.
Can Jake be trusted in this wager? And is he also using Beth to engineer the fall of the archangel Gabriel? Xavier has already lost one love – when Jake tricks him into thinking that Bethany is dead, his grief and anger result in a betrayal that will leave Bethany – and readers – wondering if he is so good after all.

It will be up to Beth to use everything she’s learned about her powers as an angel – and about love – to free herself and those she loves from the clutches of Hades.

Hades is already out as its release date was August 30th. What are you waiting for? Get a copy of Hades right now! If you haven't started the series yet, go for it! It sounds like awesome sauce! ^_^
