Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they have more power than you dream.

Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her, Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys—all the ones she doesn't want. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water—just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They’re powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life’s at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who’s hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The storm is coming . . .

A lot of my blogging friends were looking forward to the release of this book and I was curious to see why everyone was so hyped up about this book. Needless to say, it blew me away! I loved a lot of things about this book.

One of the things I really liked was the writing. This book captures the teenage voice and nails it down perfectly. This book has quite a bit of profanity, and being the avid swearer myself (I'm a teenager, what do you expect?), it was used at the right moments and at the right times.

Another would be the characters! Oh, I absolutely adored Becca! She's the most down to earth, realistically written heroine I've ever met. I don't think I've ever found myself irked with her actions and I felt like I could relate to her with everything she went through. Chris was another favorite of mine. He's sweet and just plain out cute. He might be the youngest and not a bad boy like other guys in YA, but what he does for Becca makes me swoon! YA literature needs more guys like him instead of the usual dark, mysterious bad boys (not that I don't like those kind of guys).

Okay, seriously, I feel like I'm getting better at figuring out plot lines in books than figuring out geometry problems on tests. (Oh how I wish it could be the other way around!) Despite its fair predictability, Storm kept me engaged throughout the entire novel! Although I wasn't completely shocked, Storm managed to throw a couple of surprises at me here and there.

I also really enjoyed the romantic aspect. This is a book where the love triangle is written flawlessly and I couldn't help but swoon for either male love interests! I'm personally a Team Chris girl, since it was just heart wrenching for me to see how perfect Chris is for Becca but they always misunderstood each others' actions. Unlike most books, each boy vying for Becca has a real chance to be with her and I can only hope she'll end up with the right guy. (*cough* Chris *cough*)

Storm is a positively electrifying debut that captures the teenage voice at its best. With an engaging plot, easy to relate characters, and an awesome paranormal twist, Storm is sure to be a hit!
