A son of Hell, immortal, and bound to Earth forever, Jax looks for redemption in the Mephisto Covenant—God’s promise he will find peace in the love of an Anabo. After a thousand years, he’s finally found the girl he’s been searching for: Sasha.

With the threat of Eryx looming, Jax has to keep Sasha safe and win her over. But can he? Will Sasha love him and give up her mortal life?

When I first saw the cover of this book on Goodreads, I was drooling and squealing and doing all the fan girl actions. I clicked away at the title and read the summary. More drool. I soon found the title on Netgalley, a couple of days later, thanks to the help of Trinity. I requested, and a couple of days later, it was sitting on my Kindle.

When I finished devouring this delectable read, I was like, "GIVE ME THE SEQUEL NOW OR ELSE I'LL--" Well, you get the point. I loved this book.

Trinity had spun and woven such a wonderful story, with interesting mythology that'll be sure to get anyone hooked. The mythology Trinity introduces and explains throughout the book was one of my favorite aspects while reading this book. The Mephisto Covenant, the Anabo, everything had fascinated me, which made this book hard to put down.

At first, I didn't like how this book was narrated. You read the book seeing it from both Sasha and Jax's perspective. Couple of minutes, I'm reading how Jax feels and such then all of a sudden, he says something out of character. I think, "Oh silly me, it's now Sasha's perspective!" It took me a while to get used the transitions between Sasha and Jax, but I enjoyed this book to the fullest nonetheless. In the end, I did enjoy how the book was narrated as I got to see how Sasha and Jax felt.

Another one of my favorite aspects of this were the characters! Sasha isn't one of those characters who just goes head over heels for some crazy hot guy she meets and does whatever he wants, she actually has a mind of her own and she actually rejects the poor guy (and yes, I'm talking about the ever-sexy JAX!) I also loved Jax. Although he did act before thinking, it was all for Sasha and I couldn't help but go "Aww!" at those moments. He was like an adorable puppy, always trying to defend Sasha and super loyal (minus the facts that he is, if I haven't mentioned yet, hot, immortal, and somewhat of a sexy badass.) The secondary characters were also enjoyable as well. Brody is one of my favorites. He is such a cutie!

The romance, and oh the romance! It was really passionate, hot, and spicy. I definitely loved them! My lack of good wording to describe these scenes does not do this book justice! In fact, my lack of good wording to describe how much this book is made out of awesome sauce does not do this book justice!

The ending did a nice job of wrapping things up. Although I'm not too sure if I'll ever see Jax and Sasha again, I cannot wait to see what Trinity has in store for the rest of the series!

Cover Thoughts: I lalalalalove it! My interpretation of the cover is Sasha and the choice she has to make, whether to go or not go. Seeing the cover girl's somewhat hesitant face as she's looking back totally fits Sasha! (Sorry for my vague description of her choice. No spoilers for you guys!)

Recommendations: Anybody who's looking for a fresh new take in the paranormal department. The mythology in this book is amazing and it is nice to get a dose of something new rather than the generic vampires and such.

When can I get this book?: TMC's expected pub date is September 27th, 2011!

Wow, this book sounds so cool! The cover really is gorgeous and the synopsis is made of pure awesomeness! :)

Sasha seems like a great character! I'm always waiting for a girl to reject the super-hot guy no matter how super-hot he is (as crazy as that sounds) only because it shows that heroines DO have more on their minds than falling in love with super-hot guys (Am I overusing my adjectives again?).

But... they get together, right? x)

Awesome review, Gee! I'm definitely going to be picking up this book!
